Found a bug, or have an idea for a new toy? Email barmaor.co@gmail.com and tell me your Mac model and macOS version.
I can't find the app.
Look in the menu bar for a little app window wearing a party hat. There's no Dock icon. Click the hat to switch toys on and off or to open Settings.
How do I hide everything fast?
Press ⌃⌥⌘P (Control-Option-Command-P), and again to bring it all back. Right-clicking any toy and choosing Hide Everything does the same.
Will the toys get in the way of my clicks?
No. Party Hearty only catches a click that lands right on a toy, so the rest of your screen works normally. Drag a pet to pick it up and throw it. Right-click to feed it, pet it or send it off for a nap.
Everything vanished when I went full screen.
That's deliberate. The toys move aside for full-screen apps and come back when you leave. Quiet hours in Settings can also hide them on a schedule.
The weather isn't syncing.
Check that Settings › Weather › "Sync with the weather outside" is on and that you're online. If you picked "Use my Mac's location", allow Party Hearty in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services, or type in a city instead.
Does it drain the battery?
No. When nothing's moving it uses almost nothing, and on battery or in Low Power Mode it slows itself down. If you want it even lighter, choose Least Energy in Settings › General › Performance.
Can it open when I log in?
Yes, turn on Settings › General › "Open at login".
