Privacy policy
Effective October 31, 2026. Party Hearty is made by Tai Maor (that's me).
Party Hearty doesn't collect data. No account, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking. I don't have a server, so the app has nothing of mine to connect to.
What it reads on your Mac
Your settings, your pet's name, your visitor collection and any stickers you add are saved on your Mac and nowhere else.
To put the toys in the right place, Party Hearty reads where your windows are. It never reads window titles or what's inside them, and it doesn't store or send the positions anywhere. To let pets walk along the Dock, it also reads the Dock's icon size and how many items are in it. It doesn't change anything there.
Weather sync
This is off until you switch it on. Then Party Hearty sends Apple either the place you typed (a city or ZIP code) so it can find it on the map, or, if you chose "Use my Mac's location", your Mac's approximate location (accurate to about 3 km) to Apple Weather. It asks for the current weather there roughly every 30 minutes. These requests go directly from your Mac to Apple and never reach me. According to Apple, WeatherKit only uses the location to give you the forecast and doesn't tie it to your identity. The last result (the weather and the place) is kept on your Mac so it can be shown after a restart. With weather sync off, nothing is sent.
Microphone and Screen Recording
Both are optional, and the app only asks for them when you turn on the feature that needs them. Dance to Music listens for the beat. Retro Wrecker takes a single still picture of your screen so you can smash it. Neither leaves your Mac, and nothing is recorded or saved.
Buying it
Party Hearty is sold on the Mac App Store. Apple handles the payment and your Apple Account, and I never see your name, email address or payment details.
Deleting your data
Delete the app and its data goes with it.
Children
Since Party Hearty collects nothing from anyone, it collects nothing from children either.
Changes
I'll update this page and the date at the top if anything changes. If Party Hearty ever starts collecting something, the app will tell you first.
